History. Archive. Contextualising the past.
I love it when I get to work with archive footage to tell the story of our past. This project for National Trust Wales, looks at the granduer of Penrhyn Castle and also the cruelty that went into paying for it.
We took the fabulous archive images and composited them onto the baroque interiors of the building, drawing a link between the opulance and the suffering that it cost.
It was made as part of a successful funding application to build in retell the story of the castle.
